We all have the healing power of
touch right in our fingertips! Just the simple act of touching – not
necessarily in a romantic manner, can boost our immune system, slow
our heart rate, help us sleep better, decrease anxiety, lower blood
pressure and increase endorphin levels (your feel good hormones) to
name just a few of the benefits.
Couples in relationships have ever
increasing challenges to overcome as they deal with the demands of
raising children, dealing with elder parents and increased work
loads. It’s no wonder that divorce is on the increase as couples
have less and less time to spend with each other.
Learning massage basics will allow
you to spend quality time with your partner. It will offer the
opportunity to unwind after a long, frustrating day. Better
communication with your partner can also be an added benefit to
giving and receiving massage.
I will keep lecture to a minimum
and will demonstrate relaxation techniques for head, neck,
shoulders, arms, legs, back and feet. Each partner will be able to
give as well as receive a massage at the class.
I supply the massage tables and
linens. Men can wear shorts. Women can wear bathing suit tops and
shorts. There is a rest room for changing.
Bring pencil and paper to take notes. You should also bring
something to drink during this time. Dress appropriately!
